Introducing our new Director of Training: Colby Cox

Zilker Crowler Night - 07 (M, sq)This is Colby Cox and his English Bulldog, Watson. Colby is our new Director of Training, and we're particularly excited to have him on board. Not only will he bring his naturally approachable enthusiasm to our team, he'll bring his 8 years of coffee experience as well. We're also excited about Watson, but honestly, we don't have very high hopes for his contributions to our coffee program. Time will tell.

Colby comes to us from Cara's Cup in Topeka, Kansas where he honed his coffee craft doing a little bit of everything from working in the kitchen to being a barista. For Cuvee, Colby will continuing the high-level quality of education that our retail partners have come to expect. Striving to make coffee as approachable and enjoyable as possible, Colby will conduct of all our ongoing retail partner training as well as host open classes to the general public here at the roastery.

Have you ever wanted to play on a really nice espresso machine or learn how to pour latte art? If so, then Colby is your guy. Register for classes here.

Dream Job

"My job is basically demystifying coffee for people. I see to it that everyone is getting all their questions answered about coffee."

"My job is basically demystifying coffee for people. I see to it that everyone is getting all their questions answered about coffee. I get to amass my knowledge of coffee that people have taken careful time and consideration to teach me, and I'm turning around and reinvesting that into my new community," Colby shared with us during a recent interview.
