Barista Training

Even the world's best coffee, skillfully roasted by an artisan, can be destroyed in seconds at the hands of an untrained barista.  Professional barista training can help you avoid disaster.

Our espresso labs are designed to provide you with all of the tools to ensure that your costomers are getting the finest drinks possible.  Class is limited to four students to ensure personal instruction and lots of hands on, practical application.  Labs are taught by professional, competition barista, certified judges and SCAA espresso lab station instructors.

In the class you will learn both fundamental and advanced skills including:

  • Grinding
  • Dosing
  • Tamping
  • Proper (and improper) Extraction
  • Milk Steaming/Texturing
  • Free Pouring and Latte Art
  • Drink Building
  • Espresso Equipment Maintenance

Classes are usaully offered the first Monday and third Friday of every month.  The labs start promptly at 10am and finish at 4pm, with a short luch break and food provided by Cuvee Coffee.  The cost of the class is $275 per person and advanced registration and payment is required.  All cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the lab and we do not offer refunds, but will offer the opportunity to participate on a later date.
